Do one for Jerry Goldsmith!
Yes the star wars score is the best ever
good list but I think that #1 should have been a tie between star wars and
superman
Hook theme, fucking ace.
Not even a honourable mention of TINTIN?! Come on!
If you all want to see one about Hans, you should differentiate when he
works with a workforce of ghostwriters or just by himself, what I like to
call Hans-Solo (which are definitely few).
There is a whole bunch of musicians standing behind his name, making it
‘his’. I am not criticing it, Holywood just seems to go that way, getting
bigger, selling more, selling yourself.
John Williams, however, also added a wonderful bunch of concert works to
his glossary, which you definitely should check out. And we hear and feel
something in his music.. organic.
I recommend to you the film music of Erich Wolfgang Korngold, which
influenced Williams when it comes to the musical biggies like Star Wars or
the serious elements in Jaws or Hook (almost completely!)
John Williams’ themes for Indiana Jones and Superman are almost the same.
Star Wars #1
It has taken less time for Watchmojo to make this tribute list for John
Williams than it is taking for the Academy to award him an Honorary Oscar.
My favourite music composer Henry Jackman Danny elfman John willaims
well, that’s my youth in a top ten.
