Are these prisons too much and is enough done to ensure people who aren’t guilty aren’t sentenced for crimes they didn’t commit and are forced to live desolate and dismal lives. A couple of the prisons on this list are no longer functioning jails but still exist as buildings with dark histories.

  2. 1:42 three people actually did escape with the help of an escape artist who was taken there a few decades ago and nobody knows if their still alive for all we know they could be

  6. don’t have any sympathy for rapists etc but like you said some of these prisons are concentration camps a lot of innocent ppl suffering just for having an opinion .

  10. Visited Alcatraz in ’77. Part of the tour included standing by yourself in a cell for solitary confinement. The doors shut closed. No toliet, lights, windows or furniture. Pitch dark and ice cold…scared the hell out of me!!!!
