Star Wars was as popular as it is because of how little we saw of it. It took about 13 years for a new trilogy and 32 years for a sequel to the original trilogy. When it got released it felt like a rare occasion. We can only watch the same shit over and over again for so long. If they do release another trilogy soon it better have nothing to do with the Skywalkers or the empire but hopefully brand new era, lore and characters.
