  1. Watch some movies by these difficult directors:
    Zodiac – David Fincher
    Transformers – Michael Bay
    Alfred Hitchcock: The Essentials Collection

  2. I’m at #3, and before I finish the video, I’m calling Akira Kurosawa and Alfred Hitchcock to be the top 2.

    • What!? Not even an honorable mention for Kurosawa??? From what I’ve read he was just as perfectionist and hard on actors as Kubrick was! Nevertheless, all of the choices on the list and on the honorable mentions were well earned.

  3. It’s ironic that the commercial before this had Werner Herzog as the “new instructor” for that website ads.

  4. David O. Russell and Michael Bay can go fuck themselves, their movies suck anyway! Though I like Bay’s The Rock, but that’s it. Even Lars Von Trier can screw himself, his films are fucking depressing and he really hates his characters, especially his main characters! He should get professional help, he’s fucking disturbing! Though I like his film Antichrist. Yeah it’s sad to hear about Kubrick and the fucked up story about Hitchcock’s Tippi Hedren obsession, but they have made some really, really good movies! The Shining is on my favorite movies list!

  5. Add Scorsese, Tarantino, and Nolan to the list and you just have a list of best directors.

  6. The top three should be James Cameron, James Cameron, and James Cameron.

The man has an ego that is beyond the scope of what he brings to any project.

  7. I saw Alfred Hitchcock coming a mile away. But the rest of these picks on this list have really helped me to realize how duche bagery some of these directors can be. Makes me feel glad I don’t have to work under them.
