I work at the airlines and they do nothing they have a 95%failure rate most of them sneak off and do nothing
And for a bonus fact, The TSA is just as bad at catching contraband items as the private security that preceded it. Only now they are federal security guards and their incompetence and arrogance carries the weight of the United States government behind it. Remember the uproar over the body scanners when they came out? They’re still here and still taking naked pictures of you and still being stored indefinitely on federal servers due to sarbanes-oxley which says the government cant delete any information it collects. So just like the Dept of Education (which passed by 2 votes in 1976 or 78) its a horrible program that does basically nothing except suck up money from the public but with the added benefit of trampling your 4th amendment rights against illegal search and seizure and your right to privacy. hooray for a false sense of security! Who needs rights when you have the government here to tell you what to do?! yaaaay!
