  2. I wish A Series Of Unfortunate Events was at least an honorable mention. It requires a very specific type of acting that stands on a very thin line between being terrible and outrageous or brilliant. And it has to be consistent, too. If one actor didn’t nail it, it wouldn’t have thrown out the aesthetic of the whole show. They ALL nailed it, including a 8 months old baby. And considering how many actors they had, that was quite an achievement.

  3. Why all the realism? I don’t even watch most of these shows. My definition of good acting is a performance that can get me to suspend my disbelief so thoroughly that I get swept away in a world that doesn’t even exist. *Altered Carbon,* folks. Why is it not even on the list? 😛

Yeah yeah. Portrayals of real people are pretty impressive, sometimes. The Queen and the creepy dudes in Mindhunter were good. And good on you for at least putting Bernthal up as your audience grab.

  4. Jessica Jones is not the only Marvel show that should be on the list. Jon Bernthal in Punisher and Vincent D‘Onofrio in Daredevil are both brilliant.

  5. “Grace and Frankie” correction

Lily Tomlin has actually been nominated for the Emmy 4 times; once for each of its first four seasons.
