We’ve got free healthcare here because of the NHS. I’m glad not be American. I mean what’s the point of health insurance if you still have to pay practically the whole bill? Sounds like a scam. Whoever set that system up ought to be ashamed.

Back in 1988 while living in Chicago my husband collapsed from heat stroke and I took him to the ER. They took his information and vitals then left us sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours. After sitting in an air conditioned waiting room drinking water for 4 hours he started feeling better and we left.
They sent us a $200 bill. They claimed it was for taking his vitals… temp, blood pressure, and pulse. All of the things I did before we left the apartment.
