You can blame all that in Christopher Reeves itself, because Superman IV was his baby, his personal project, he wrote part of the fucking script, it funny that someone that interpret Superman three times already didn’t known batshit about the fucking character that he was doing. Reeves didn’t even bother to read any Superman comics to known what were Superman powers? Sure, in the Silver Age Superman had a lot of stupid over the top powers, but nothing as stupid as wall rebuilding power.
