Wrestlers are also directed to wear an official WWE T-shirt, to promote it, when not wrestling, On TV. This is t advertise the T-Shirts, but since the wrestler him or herself gets a cut of any T-shirt with their name or catchphrase on it, it benefits them as well to wear it.

In WWE, the art of the promo is dead, since there’s no ad-lib or coming up with your own.
I heard that Vince DOES pay for airplane flights for performers when on tour. Maybe he is paranoid that someone will no-show an advertised show, so this gives them no excuse for not flying in.
He is a control freak simple
