  3. I’d even say horror is great to grow up with. I got into horror movies as a preteen because I was tired of being the scaredy cat all the time. It introduced me to a slew of great character actors, inventive premises, black comedy, dark morality tales, suspenseful, psychological twists, just a real shadow side of the movie world…jumpstarted my imagination and everything. There are a ton of shit entries in the genre, especially lately, but overall there are plenty of good horror movies people should take into consideration to spend some time with.
