  4. How is USA #2 and The Netherlands #4?

    Let’s be real. I think football/soccer fans are more surprised at The Netherlands not qualifying when they’ve been runner-up three times.

  5. Come on. The USA deserves to be out. We have millions of people in this country but can’t put together a simple roster that can win some games. Countries with hardly anything produce some of the best players in the world.

    I’m guessing, USA, The Netherlands, Italy, Chile and Ghana.

  8. I’m sorry, this list is way off in terms of order. It should probably be 1. Chile, 2. Italy, 3. Holland, 4. USA and 5. Cameroon.

    Chile is the reigning two-time defending South American champs and a Confederation Cup finalist. Italy and Holland are not quite as good as they have been in years past, but still have better teams than the US…who I’m not sure are even better than Cameroon. The only reason why I would put the US ahead of Cameroon is because Cameroon final WCQ group of 4 included Algeria and Nigeria…two teams that qualified for the previous WC. In this qualifying cycle in Africa only the top team advances to the WC. It’s perhaps not as surprising they didn’t qualify.

  10. I know I will get flak for it but… I just secretly hope for another Germany massacres X nation, just like they did with Brazil.
