If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! For this list, we’re looking at changes in remakes that had us wishing they’d just left the original alone. And yes, of COURSE we included Godzilla’s design in “Godzilla” (1998) – along with changes in “I Am Legend” (2007), “The Karate Kid” (2010), “The Stepford Wives” (2004), and more! 1. Well, there is an alternative ending in I Am Legend that actually does follow the original book that has Will Smith’s character making the cure and realize that he’s the boogeyman to the creatures.

  2. I’ll say it. 1998 Godzilla looked way better than the rubber fat suit Godzilla from toho. The original Willy Wonka sucks.

  3. Actually I heard that the original screenplay for Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho” had Norman Bates masturbating but didn’t shoot it that way because he knew that the MPAA at the time wouldn’t let him keep it in. So in the remake the director was just putting back in what was originally taken out.

At least that’s what I have heard.
