  1. 4:44-4:52 the game was actually cancelled because Activision laid off so many people. 85% of those people worked on these 2 games.

  2. Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic III was cancelled because Lucas decided to let EA decide whether or not to complete the Revan/Exile story arc. For a while it looked like it would happen, in fact Bioware had been given the job of developing III and went so far as to post a synopsis of what it would be on their website at the time. You played as either Revan or The Exile. Your first task was to find the other and then you either teamed up with them or killed them before going after another Rakata device, the one that actually allowed the Rakata to build the Star Forge. If you’d played 1 or 2 (or like me both) you’d be able to import the characters (although III was slated for Xb360, PS2 and PC rather than XB and PSX) and along the way you’d have met some of the previous instalments characters such as Bastila and Atton along with new companions. There would still be the choice of light vs dark and multiple endings to account for those choices but then EA suddenly realised that MMOR with loads of ‘micro-transactions’ would make them a lot more money than console games particularly since DLC for consoles was still pretty limited. They and BioWare became nothing more than cash grabbers, not caring about anything but the money and so KOTOR 3 was canned like so many other promising games such as SW1313, Silent Hills and far too many more. Basically EA are not alone in this but they are by far the most visibly blatant of the companies that do it.

  3. When I was a kid I had a chipped ps1 and I had thrill kill. I fucking loved it. It wasn’t until about 2013 I was talking to someone about it and he’d never heard of it, nor did anyone else I know and then I found out it was unreleased. No idea where my Dad got that game from.

It’s crazy because that’s one of my favourite games from the PlayStation and yet so few people got to play back in the day!
