  1. Wait! What happened to Amanda? Did she change her name to Rebecca? I must have missed that part of the story. I think number 1 was written Che.

  2. Here’s a story: Five year old Bill moved into a house with his mom, dad, and sister. Behind his back yard was a short footpath that lead through a small patch of trees to a set of railroad tracks. Every day without fail a train would rumble down the tracks at half past noon, and soon without fail Bill would run down to the tracks whenever he heard the blaring horn of the train and watch it as it rolled by. He would always wave to the engineer, and even though he couldn’t quite see the engineer fully, a gloved hand attached to a denim clad arm would extend out the darkened cab window and wave back. Bill never saw or heard the train on its return trip, but figured it came back when he was sound asleep. One day Bill was outside playing while his father was raking leaves. At 12:30 Bill heard the sound of the train and bounded into the woods to watch the train and wave to the engineer. When he returned his father asked him why he got up and just ran into the trees. Bill replied ” To go to the tracks and see the train and wave to the engineer, didn’t you hear it?” Bill’s father looked stern and said “Son, those tracks have been abandoned since I was your age. No train can possibly run on them.” Bill insisted that there was a train, and dragged his father out to the tracks. But instead of seeing shiny silvery rails, he saw they were rusted and loose with weeds and grass growing through the ties and track bed.
