We have the salt and the umbrella one in USA too. About the magpies, I heard from an British friend EVERYtime you see one you’re supposed to see you’re supposed to ask how it is; can you please clarify, Rebecca, as I’ve started doing it? Ty!

The sweeping one is “Scottish” not British so you cheated.
I come from the depths of my room and my superstition is that there are lizard men walking among us
The salt, horse shoe, and umbrella are the ones I grew up with. I think my grandfather picked it up when he was stationed either in Great Britain or something like that during his time in the military in WW2. He and my grandmother lived in India at the time. Like your vids!

Mine is the wails of sorrow. In Newfoundland Canada. There’s Signal hill. It was a base back in world war 2 where soldiers would care for their wives and babies. Many people have died there. Even women and babies. And apparently in the night time you would hear people crying on signal hill. That’s where it gets it’s name wails of sorrow. And legend has it. If you go up there you will see a ghost of a women who cries with her dead baby in her arms waiting for her husband to come back. But he died during the world.
