  2. I have always understood the Central Finite Curve as being the practical outcome of infinite parallel universes.

    A curve between two universes means a big enough difference between your destination and origin. Making a portal to a parallel universe where only one atom is different is redundant, as the Rick & Morty in that universe also made the same portal into another. That’s why they can only skip universes a limited number of times and why infinite universes can still have finite limitations.
