Then again, this is a list of underrated drummers, not well known drummers. OK, then. Let’s go with that, and think of drummers before the author of this article woke up. In no order:
Deep Purple. Ian Anderson Paice
Santana. Michael Shrieve (admittedly not underrated).
Bruce Springsteen. Max Weinberg
AC/DC. Phil Rudd.
Mötley Crüe. Tommy Lee.
Steve Jordan, master of all trades.
The Kinks. Mick Avory.
Fleetwood Mack. Mick Fleetwood. word.
Black Sabbath. Bill Ward. The prosecution rests.
