Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Rita, Hurricane Wilma these are hurricanes that killed thousands of people and caused hundreds of billions in damages. Most of the deadliest hurricanes occur in the United States or the Caribbean. Hurricanes or Tropical cyclones usually form over oceans in the Autumn after the seas has been warmed up by the sun from the summer time. When the winds move over the warm ocean water begins to evaporate and rise into the atmosphere. This is what causes the column of clouds with low pressure beneath. Surrounding air than rushes in creating a cycle of winds. And this is what causes hurricanes. So this is going to be a scary and sad list but this is the top 10 deadliest hurricanes of all time. So just letting you know we have some Typhoon storms on this list. That’s because it’s the same thing. The name for these storms is just a matter of where in the world the storms hit.
