I feel the extended family of Vincent van Gogh deserves an honorable mention at the very least:
1. Vincent’s younger brother, Theo, died of dementia paralytica just months after his elder brother’s suicide in 1891.
2. Theo van Gogh’s great-grandson, also named Theo, was murdered by an Islamic fundamentalist in 2004 for creating a short film that was critical of Islam.
3. The second cousin of the younger Theo Van Gogh, Willem Witteveen, perished on Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 along with his wife and daughter when the plane was shot down by Russian rebels above eastern Ukraine.

I just want to point out that these are all things that happen to a lot of families. The only reason its being called a curse is because the families are famous.
