  1. Technically, Gotham by Gaslight is more a proto-Elseworlds story. The label arrived a year later, but Gaslight inspired its creation. So, you can call Gaslight the last Imaginary Story.

As Alan Moore wrote, “This is an Imaginary Story. Aren’t they all?” 🙂

  2. IMHO, World’s Funnest is the greatest graphic novel ever conceived by sentient life. It’s all hilarious and packed with references.

  3. “Darkest Knight” was pretty crazy. Started off good, but when Superman, Flash, and Wonder Woman were all made Green Lanterns to take down Bruce, it kinda jumped the shark.

  4. I actually wrote a fanfic elseworlds story as a kid. The plot was that the bats Bruce Wayne was terrified of as a kid were promptly sucked into a jet engine, which he also witnessed. Flash forward a few decades later, and Batman and Robin basically became human versions of the SWAT Kats fighting even wielded versions of their regular rogues gallery.

    I was like 9.

  5. I just caught up on arrow, legends and flash today it’ll be interesting what the crossover will be like the teaser looks a bit like infinity war
