But they didn’t in the British and German(both country’s in the game at the moment) And that’s what people are annoyed about. People would be fine if you played as the Russians and you could be a woman, that would be fine. The thing people are pissed about is the fact that the minority get there way and are trying to change history by doing shit like this. 3. You’re right that plenty of women did serve in WWII but you misunderstood. We’re not mad that women in general are in WWII, we’re pissed at how it’s portrayed. Women in the war served as field medics and snipers in the US and other certain countries not as frontline soldiers, at least not to this degree. ( I mean a prosthetic arm? Seriously?) Historical accuracy IS important here, to help us believe we’re actually in these big events our grandfathers told us about. Because if you twist important history in the worst way possible, it feels more like your playing a parody of one of if not THE biggest war in history.

8. As a history enthusiast, I take issue with you making light at the historical accuracy argument. You are severely downplaying the issue. Lets point out a few problems shall we? “Do a simple Google search and you will find that women served in WWII in many countries.” Yes they did as nurses, AA crews, auxiliary personnel, not front line troops, especially in most countries with a primary exception being the Soviet Union who heavily employ women on the front lines because Stalin is willing to throw every men, women and children in front of the German advance if it would save himself. If you want to portray women in WWII, the Soviet snipers would be a good place to go. They have many famous female pilots and snipers. Hell, Chris Kyle the American sniper only made 150 kills. The best Soviet WWII sniper, a woman whose name I couldnt remember killed between 650-700. Give us that instead of that Norwegian campaign revisionism bullshit where you replace tens of Norwegian soldiers and civilians, hundreds of British commandos with a mother and a daughter because it really is utterly disrespectful. That’s the reason why most people are angry with Dice and EA. Not because we hate women. But because they are trying to feed us this revisionist bullshit and telling us it’s historical fact and then calling us uneducated for calling them out for it. Hell I love playing as female characters ingame. Most of my fav gaming characters are female like Rebecca Chambers from Resident Evil 0, Kuon from Utawarerumono Itsuwari no kamen and Futari no Hakuoro but in a historical game with a historical time period, if they are not done right then the devs deserve the flak they get. And by the way that’s an unsubscribe from me and seeing the like to dislike ratio, I am not the only one to have these sentiments

The problem with BF5 was never women in the game. it was the fact that BF5 was supposed to be a ww2 game, not a Fortnite-like ww2 with female cyborgs with purple hair, along with the face that said woman and her mother took the place of an actual platoon of Finnish sabateurs in the mission in the game.

    not to mention the massive amount of bugs, and the less than even half-finished state of the game.
