   • Personally I think the original Phantasia is a true masterpiece.

   • I recommend Tales of Symphonia

   • Some of the harder ones to find on this list are probably Phantasy Star (all 4 original games are on the Genesis Collection for PS3/360) and Skies of Arcadia (which as far as I know was last released on Gamecube) All the others are still pretty popular and can be found easily.

2. Cloud Strife at the number 1 spot is probably your best no. 1 choice in a long time!

3. Cloud Strife is basically the most iconic wandering hero to me. Does anyone else agree?

4. No love for Ryudo from Grandia II or Ryu from Breath of Fire? Come on!

I really like Isaac from Golden Sun, the entirety of the first game he’s determined to stop the lighting of the Elemental Lighthouses for the greater good when soon you discover that the land of Weyard will face destruction if they’re not lit. Also in Lost Age he became even more likeable and we can see the effect of his adventures ob the world, he has badass earth powers and it’s a shame he hasn’t been in Smash yet

Cloud’s journey of personal transformation — from a badass loner mercenary to a responsible leader to a babbling mental wreck, to the deconstruction of his entire self-fabricated persona, and eventually, to acceptance that it’s not too bad just to be a regular guy who says things like “Let’s mosey” — is genuinely sympathetic.

   Clouds subconscious was one of the most detailed growths in the series because it makes you realize why he is the way he is, the real Cloud talking to imposter Cloud. His nagging memory poking holes in his constructed self.

   • Cloud is the ultimate “baller” of the FF universe. Which FF protagonist can say he had the entire female cast all over him and even other character like Jessie.

   • Cloud is a deep and intricate character with multiple layers. He’s also pretty much had the worst life of any video game character, or at least he’s up there.
