  1. Captain America: Civil War? That movie was nothing *but* spectacle. The conflict felt like manufactured filler to have an excuse to get really nothing done, except advertise the upcoming Spiderman and Black Panther movies. What is really fundamentally different from the beginning of the movie to the end that couldn’t be explained in a blurb about how Cap was fed up with the controlling of his team and went rogue? Did we need a whole movie with Stark having a sudden and deep psychological scar from the, before now unmentioned, murder of his parents? Waste of time.

  2. I don’t consider Civil War to be a classic, in this lifetime or another. It’s a very good movie, but it’s not something that will influence the future of the cinema. In order to be a classic film of some sort you have to be inventive. In this context, it relates to the action and spectacle. And there is nothing in Civil War on that level that is original and unorthodox. We’ve seen these things plenty of times in other MCU movies.

  3. DC has a darker tone to it thats why its more serious. I prefer DC but I still enjoy Marvel movies.
